KOKE WROTE: MISSION SUGGESTIONS your name: Koke character name + character journal: Murphy + wrackful preferred contact method: here's fine!
suggestions: Just three mission-structure ideas I've had! I'm gonna list them below with rough ideas on how I think they're work in game with the mechanics as I understand them, but I'm not tied to any particular parts of any of them (if you did decide to use any but would need to make tweaks).
1. Treasure hunt. Hosts need to find a particular Necessary object on a planet (or system of planets) and have to track down and follow clues/legends/harass locals/acquire special maps to do it. Add in other native treasure hunters for some conflict (literal and moral) and split the object itself into multiple pieces in different locations to give a bigger spread for players.
2. Ghost ship. Ye Olde "creepy abandoned spaceship" idea as seen in every sci-fi ever. Mission itself could be either be rescue of a person or salvage of another Necessary item. Rescue = distress beacon attracts attention; Salvage = an agent of the Nest tracked it down and now the station hosts are on the job. Adaptable for mission length required (make the ship normal sized or Gigantic), throw whatever space horrors or not!horrors needed in.
3. Support a rebel group in overthrowing an occupying regime. Another one in every sci-fi ever (as well as historical stuff). This would offer a lot of the infiltration things we've had in previous (and current) missions, as well as a wide variety of roles for characters to take. I'm not entirely sure how it would be facilitated except maybe that the Enemy are helping the occupation, and anything the Enemy want the Nest don't want them to have etc. Lots of potential moral messiness on this one!
