RULES

In most cases, Station 72 follows a THREE STRIKES YOU’RE OUT system, meaning a player may receive two warnings before further problem behavior results in a removal from the game. However the mods reserve the right to eject a player from the game at any time without prior warning should the need arise.

BE EXCELLENT TO EACH OTHER. It’s the golden rule - treat others like you’d want to be treated; love your neighbor as yourself; don’t be a dick, etc. Due to the intensely personal nature of the game’s IC environment, it is extremely important that players treat one another with respect and dignity. Being communicative, trusting in each other’s out of character good intentions, and being flexible and willing to play ball with new and weird ideas are the foundation of making this game work. Harassment, bullying, and lack of respect for fellow players will not be tolerated.

FOLLOW GENERAL RP ETIQUETTE AND COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS. Be courteous, be active and ic, in character action equals in character consequences but ic doesn’t equal ooc, don’t godmod, no infomodding or fourthwalling without permission from other players, use content warnings, etc. Lastly, remember that if you are experiencing a lack of clarity or have concerns about something happening either icly or oocly, the first step is to always communicate with each other first. If that doesn't resolve the problem, the mods are happy to assist further.

BE RESPECTFUL OF GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY YOUR FELLOW PLAYERS AND MODS. The telepathic connection and ‘shared experience’ concepts of Station72 allow for a certain reasonable level of character-to-character infomodding; however, it’s up to each player to dictate how much of their character’s knowledge and information is available for other characters to access. Please be diligent and careful about respecting the wishes of your fellow players and be considerate of revision should someone ask you to do so! OOC-to-IC infomodding - such as characters somehow knowing certain events will happen in advance because of an event timeline posted oocly - is, of course, prohibited.

BE FLEXIBLE. All the above said and done, all players should come into the game ready to play ball with each other. The very nature of this game is based on breaking down walls your character has psychologically, emotionally, etc. While you are free to set your own limitations in terms of what other characters may come to learn through their connection to yours, please be reasonable with your restrictions! Do your best to keep the open communication spirit of the game in mind with your play and when outlining your permissions.
